Seeing God, The Northwest Territories/States

I haven’t blogged for a while because I was on a trip to the Northwest, traveling up and down the Williamette, Columbia and Snake Rivers. Always on a trip there is a defining moment, a moment when I see the God to whom I pray. On this trip, the waterfall was one of those scenic moments. The other moment is indelibly photographed in my mind. I was on a small riverboat with about 75 other tourists from Canada, America, the United Kingdom and Australia. Most of my fellow passengers were older, come in their high 80’s. Others walked with canes or used a wheelchair. The most touching moment when God appeared was when I left the lounge to go down the stairs for dinner. An aged gentleman was traveling with his wife who could neither speak or walk without assistance. They left the lounge before me and I saw him walk with her into the ladies restroom. He was not embarrassed. Earlier he had led her to the dance floor and just held her while the music played. She suffered from advanced Alzheimers and I surmised that rather leave her to the care of others, he brought her with him. God was with them both. That moment was humbling.
