New Book – Round Trip From Texas

New Book – Round Trip From Texas

Pictured below is the cover of my book to be released this spring. The colors will be more vivid than pictured and the background will be turquoise blue. The book is non-fiction and is a collection of more travel stories and essays about life in southwest Texas. Writing a book is a pleasure but the nuts and bolts of editing, publishing and marketing are not as much fun, in fact little fun. Marketing is difficult, expensive and time consuming. Public speaking is for me quite exciting and I speak on a variety of subjects. Next month I will speak of travel at the Nueces Canyon Annual Awards Banquet for the Chamber of Commerce and will be the featured speaker. I look forward to it. Hiring a publicist is not easy. Most publicists specialize in a particular genre. Publicists require an application and screening and I have been turned down by publicists who do not feel they can market my material. Still I persist. My third book will be a departure from non-fiction and will be a contemporary mystery adventure set in Texas along the border. The title so far will be “No Quarter.” It should be published before the end of the year. The title of the book to be released this spring will be “Round Trip From Texas, More travels and essays from Sonja Klein.”
