My New Mac Computer

After cleaning house all day Saturday, Sunday was supposed to be a day of leisure. As I enjoyed my first morning cup of coffee, I checked my emails. The computer told me that my mouse was not connected or the computer could not find my keyboard. I have a new Apple wireless keyboard and mouse to go with my new computer. I replaced the batteries in the keyboard to no avail. I tried another set of batteries. No luck. I picked up the mouse and examined the underside. There appeared to be a battery cover and there I discovered two batteries. I replaced them and was back in business but only for a few minutes. Again my computer said it could not find a keyboard. After a few more battery replacements I discovered the green light on the keyboard would not come on. It just wasn’t working. When all else fails, I call my son Joe. He owns a Mac and subscribes to Logmein where he can work my computer from his house. What a savings that has been. He has shown me a lot. He went online and found that others have had the problem and have solved it by putting aluminum foil in the bottom of the battery compartment to increase the connection. I tried it and put in a piece too big and couldn’t get it out. I tried with an ice pick and finally succeeded with a coat hanger. The wireless keyboard just wasn’t working. I was 150 miles from the nearest Apple Store. I had given my old keyboard and mouse to a friend about 12 miles away but realized the old keyboard and mouse wouldn’t connect to my new monitor or computer. The day was early. I drove down to the creek bottom, fed the sheep and chickens and watered the garden and fruit trees. By the time I finished I was dripping with perspiration. The temperature was in the 90’s.
