After leaving the Pearl Factory, we visited a jewelry store. The prices on their pearls were three times that of the Pearl Factory. We then visited Henri Bendel and were treated to a makeover. Of course we both purchased some outrageously priced skin care products. As hunger replaced the need to shop, we hailed a taxi and traveled to Katz’s Deli where the movie “Where Harry Met Sally,” was filmed. We expected it not to be busy. We were wrong. Even though it was a Monday and 2 p.m, the place was crowded. When we saw the size of the deli sandwiches we wisely decided to split 1/2 of a Reuben, thus each eating 1/4 of the deli sandwich. It was delicious, as good a Reuben as I have ever eaten. The price of 1/2 sandwich and two waters was around $25. Linda returned to the jewelry stores. I returned to the Waldorf and made some phone calls and bathed, anticipating an evening adventure.
