Beautiful Canyons

Beautiful Canyons

There’s no place prettier than these canyon lands of Texas with beautiful clear skies, colorful sunrises and sunsets and pure spring waters. Weather events are often extreme and exciting. The wildlife is abundant and the foliage always interesting except for sometimes the cactus become quite bothersome. In the last few days, the wind has been blowing unmercifully. Limbs are down, trash cans are displaced and anything that is not nailed down has moved. With the unusually warm weather in the past weeks, the fruit trees have been fooled into blooming and now with the cold weather drifting down from the north, the fruit crop is in danger, especially the peach trees. Nature’s signal that winter is over has not yet been seen, the budding out of the pecans, mesquite and trumpet vines. I’m ready for spring and hope that Mother Nature does not treat us too harshly out here in the canyon lands. Nevertheless, I’m not going anywhere.
