Back At the Ranch, Ambush Hill

Back At the Ranch, Ambush Hill
After turning the ranch over to my daughter and her consort for three years, it wasn’t working.  My daughter delivered a beautiful grandson, Theiss, and we built a barn and added on to the house down in the creek bottom and added on a bedroom and bath to my home up on the hill.  The projects were finished, the baby was now two years old and my daughter had not finished her master’s thesis.  It was time for them to move on.  I took my ranch back, that is managing and putting things back in order.  It had been a good three years, time for me to do some serious traveling and publish my first book and become involved in promoting it.  That was fun and being with my grandson was even more fun.  At the same time my old computer had become seriously outdated.    I installed a Mac, purchased an IPad and was faced with a lot of learning.  I cancelled planned trips to Calgary for the Stampede, Scandanavia and Finland, India and China and determined to manage the ranch and finish the second book.  I hired a Webmaster to combine my websites and blog and found myself quite busy.  Learning is the thing that keeps a person alive.  Love may leave but learning is the passion that motivates me.  The days were full with chickens, horses, dog, cat, garden, trapping coons and learning my new computer.  Summer rains fell with a blessing.  Life is good.
